How to perform a Sprint Review
A five step process to conducting a Sprint Review.
Sprint Reviews are one of the key ceremonies of Scrum and are intended to boost moral and momentum by demonstrating that the Sprint objective has been met and often comes with a demo.
Step One: Setup the Meeting
Invite all the project stakeholders and team members to a meeting at the end of the Sprint.
Step Two: Create a Presentation
Create a presentation that discusses the objective that the team set out to complete during Sprint Planning and which show the progress that was made via a burndown chart.
Step Three: Plan & Practice the Demonstration
Plan how you are going to demonstrate the progress made in the Sprint through a prototype or version of your campaign, feature, product, service or experience.
Step Four: Perform
Meet with the team and stakeholders, present the objective and burndown chart, demonstrate the progress via a demo.
Step Five: Update the Backlog
Update the backlog (i.e. groom the backlog) to consolidate any feedback, updates, changes or requests from the client or leadership.
