SubscribeWhat is Scrum?"Stand up meetings are one of the fundamental parts of agile development, and it’s often the most misunderstood. Let’s be real: stand-ups by themselves don’t make your team agile. They aren’t about inflating egos or justifying job descriptions. They aren’t a time to plan; Sprint planning is for planning. They also aren’t the only time to mention blockers. If you’re stuck, ask for help!"
In order to execute projects companies, individuals or teams employee often work in Sprints to achieve an objective through a set amount of work in a time-boxed period of time.
In order to make sure that a team is united, focused and collaborating effectively; companies and teams often meet once a day in what's known as a Stand-Up where they discuss:
- What work they did yesterday/today.
- What they will do today/tomorrow.
- Any obstacles that are in their way.
Please note that yesterday/today and today/tomorrow indicates that teams may hold stand-up at the start of the day or the end of the day.
If anything comes up, it is recommended that you add it to the Backlog and prioritize it, in what is known as Backlog Grooming.
