What is Rigging in Spatial Computing?

In augmented reality (A/R), virtual reality (V/R) and mixed reality (M/R), the term "rigging" refers to setting up or modifying a "rig" or "skeleton" in order to enable a 3D model to perform skeletal poses or animations.

Rigging involves creating a skeleton by adding joints to a three-dimensional (3D) model or object with the purpose of adding control so that animators can make the characters move and act.
