What is Augmented Reality?
An interactive experience that overlays three-dimensional (3D) environments, objects and other computer graphics on-top of the real world.
Augmented reality (A/R), which is often confused with mixed reality (M/R), involves overlaying digital environments and 3D geometries, models and objects on top of the real-world.
Unlike M/R, A/R does not blend physical, real-world interactions into the experience and only allows for projections.
Augmented reality achieves a projection on top of the real-world through a technology known as the point cloud.
