What is a User Persona?

A persona is a profile that describes the lifestyle, behavior, needs, wants, goals and background of a member of your target audience.

User Personas, or Personas, are an outcome of user research and/or desk research and is a tool that is often used by organizations to learn more about their users or customers.

This is a useful design research tool as it serves as a constant reminder about who it is that you are creating a feature, product, service or experience for.
