What are User Stories?
User stories, also known as tasks, are an informal, general explanation of a software feature written from the perspective of the end user.

Once you have carried out a process to identify a new feature, product, service or experience (i.e a creation), the next step is to use the journey map or service blueprint to create a user experience map and from it a backlog that includes all the epics.
User stories are part of Agile Methodology and Scrum; and are tasks, or fragments of epics, that describe the specific needs or requirements of customers (i.e. personas) and could be seen as individual portions of a journey map, service blueprint or user experience map that can be developed by engineers.
When considering how to write user stories, it is important to note that they should be broken down into two levels:
- A user story, which describes the entire narrative that a customer must take to fulfill a need.
- An agile user story, which is the smallest task that a developer can execute as part of a user story.
